Public schools are operating within constrained budgets, and cost is often the greatest barrier to beginning something new. Philanthropy removes that first barrier.
Once the work takes root, schools sustain it through their own budgets, freeing your investment to open the door for the next school.
Alongside that, five Pilot Schools serve as learning laboratories, and freely accessible resources carry the work far beyond the schools we serve directly.

WHY WE ARE BUILDING THIS
Identity Impact begins with a different first question.
Education has long assumed that as young people discover what they can achieve, they will eventually discover who they are. Identity becomes something earned through performance or occupation.
We believe it works the other way. Identity is not the outcome of education. It is the soil from which all meaningful learning grows.
When students know who they are, they take healthy risks, recover from setbacks, build stronger relationships, and contribute with confidence. Achievement becomes the expression of a healthy identity rather than the source of it.
Realizing that vision takes more than a good idea. It takes demonstration, evidence, and the courage to build something that endures. That is what the Foundation Initiative exists to do.

THE INVITATION
Change rarely begins with the majority. It begins with a creative minority, a small group willing to imagine a different future and faithfully build it together.
